Youth Access Coordinator
Classification: Salaried/Full-time
Reports to: Prevention DirectorPosition, Purpose and Objectives:
To administer the BSAS Substance Abuse Prevention project grant by building and maintaining community collaborations, collecting and reporting data, creating a strategic plan including a community needs/assets assessment, conducting environmental strategies to address substance abuse in the communities served by the project and by meeting all requirements of funder and ensuring quality programming and service delivery.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in human services, social work or a related field is required
- Two years of community-based program management in a human service agency
- Knowledge of prevention/youth programming and substance abuse prevention
- Experience with programs involving policy change, communications, strategic planning and community mobilization to change community norms
- Demonstrated ability to manage large projects and multiple agency/individual interests
- Commitment to community collaboration and working with diverse communities
- Excellent writing, computer and people skills
- Commitment to the goals and mission of the agency
Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community who are working in collaboration with this funding
- Establish sub contracts with grant partners
- Represent the agency in community substance abuse meetings to raise awareness in the community of this project, educate community agencies and individuals and collect information for the project
- Responsible for the effective oversight of the day to day operations of the project, assuring quality services that meet agency and funder regulations and policies
- Responsible for setting project annual goals and objectives in collaboration with the funding agency
- Facilitate a process with sub-contractors and other collaborators/community members creating a strategic plan utilizing the Strategic Prevention Framework
- Work with the Center for Healthy Communities and DPH on project evaluation
- Attend internal and external meetings and trainings as required by the agency or its funders
- Assist with budget preparation
- Responsible for the timely collection and submission of program reports and data
- Responsible for the timely submission of all agency paperwork in accordance with agency policies
- Hire, train and evaluate all project interns and volunteers
- Responsible for promoting the values of safety, cooperation, communication and inclusiveness in all agency activities

Job Description
The Economic Development & Events Director will supervise the development of food, agriculturally-related, environmental and cultural business ventures on behalf of Nuestras Raíces and assist community members to create new small businesses, employment and economic development.Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. preferred or related life-experience
- Knowledge and experience with business
- Knowledge of basic office and business software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, small business financial software (i.e. Quickbooks) preferred
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, active community setting with diverse people and programs; flexibility and sense of humor advantageous

Hours: Position is full-time, hours are flexible but Economic Development & Events Director will be called on to work some evenings and weekends.

FOOD BANK SERVICES ASSOCIATE
FT, Non-ExemptJOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for administrative and programmatic support for Food Bank services, including Brown Bag: Food for Elders Program, Agency Services Program, and Nutrition Services Program. A 40-hour/week, non-exempt daytime position. Job is based at The Food Bank’s warehouse/office in Hatfield, and requires travel throughout the four counties of western Massachusetts. Mileage will be reimbursed.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide general administrative support for Brown Bag, Agency Services, and Nutrition departments, including data entry/reporting, word processing, scheduling, etc.
- Provide customer service to Brown Bag members and Food Bank member programs to include in-person, phone, fax, and email communication
- Assist with the coordination of food distribution at various Brown Bag sites
- Monitoring of Food Bank member agencies and Brown Bag sites
- Assist with coordination of volunteer recruitment and training
- Assist with presentation of New Shopper Orientation
- Staff and coordinate check-in process for shoppers
- Assist with production of newsletters, product alerts and other program communication
- Other duties as assigned by the Food Bank Services Manager
JOB SPECIFICATIONS /REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of client service or customer service experience
Excellent telephone and in-person communication skillsStrong data entry, database management and database reporting skills
